With the closing ceremony for this year’s summer Olympics having completed yesterday, BOC Partners is heading over to the lighter side of things, sharing one of our favorite articles regarding the state of advertising and the games.

Much was made at the start of the games regarding the IOC’s rules for sharing content (or even plain talking about the Olympics) if you weren’t an official sponsor, which is why everyone here loves this article from AdWeek, chronicling those advertising spots (such as the Snapchat “Snap Ad” by Ford below) that got around the rules while still taking advantage of the massive media blitz around such an internationally popular sporting event. https://www.youtube.com/embed/ccp6gYM7uQI

BOC Partners would definitely recommend for you to read the rest of the article over on AdWeek’s website, which also features some great ads from Under Armour and General Mills.
